My students need choices in seating! When a student requires a movement break, yet still needs to work these wobble chairs are the perfect fit! The soft seats give choices for floor work too!

My Students
My students are an inspiration every day! They are excited, motivated, fun, energetic, loving and impressionable. They come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and neighborhoods and work together like a family. I am amazed every year by how different each child is and how willing they are to accept one another and support each other, especially when someone is facing a challenge. Being in a public school, in an inner city, the students differ in their needs, abilities and confidence. Since many students benefit from the opportunity of choice, I try to incorporate it in as many ways as possible.
I use centers in learning, offer a variety of tools to use while completing their assignments and attempt to offer a choice in space to complete their work.
The students are not always able to sit in their seats for long periods of time. They can become easily distracted and require movement breaks to be successful during the school day. They are willing to work hard and try their best but sometimes need some additional support. I am hoping to provide them with what they need to continue to be successful during each and every school day!
My Project
The students in my classroom are wonderful kids with various abilities and needs. Since I can modify their curriculum and assignments based on those needs and abilities the students can experience success. However, I can't change the furniture in the room, or the space to complete those assignments.
The flexible seating allows the students to have success while completing the long, difficult and sometimes difficult classwork.
The wiggle chairs are perfect for a movement break while still on task within the classroom. This provides the students the ability to stay in the class, complete the tasks and get the sensory feedback they require!
The cushions on the floor will also provide the same benefits while seated on the rug or the floor participating in reading groups or independent reading. The students behavior will remain on target, their work will be completed and their feelings about school will remain positive!
It's such a beneficial addition to the classroom for all the students!
