My Students

My students are a big reason I do what I do. They have such kind hearts and are so willing to work hard and do their best. I love how creative and amazing they are! Every day they blow me away. They come from all backgrounds and love me just as much as I love them. They have brilliant minds and are capable of so much more than they believe! They are young enough to know how amazing the world is, but don’t understand that they are part of what makes it so amazing.

My Project

Not every seat is suitable for every learner. How long can I expect first graders to sit in a chair with “4 on the floor” and be quiet and listen? I can’t! My students need access to a variety of seat options so they can do their best work! My goal is to help them feel comfortable in our classroom and find what works best for them and their learning style.

I want them to have a choice in what type of seat will work for them that day, and we all know that can change from day to day.

I believe if given the chance, my students can find their ideal seat that will help them perform their best. They are capable of amazing things! Yes, it will require some work and training, but that goes with any classroom procedure.

The materials I have requested for this project include a variety of seating options including wobble chairs, floor seats, and wobble cushions. These will give children more options besides just the traditional desk chair. And they can all be used in different places in our classroom!
