My students need eight Gaiam Stay-n-Play balance balls, five comfy pillows, three bean bag chairs, and ten WOBBLE Chairs. These items will help my students have flexible seating in the classroom.
I have the most amazing and wonderful Kindergartners. My students come from very low income families. Many of my students live in government housing and the only meals they have are the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school.
My students are excited to come to school each day to find out what we will be learning.
They are sponges and want to soak up everything they can. I want to provide them with the best education I can to help them be successful and become life long learners.
My Project
My students need eight Gaiam Stay-n-Play balance balls, five comfy pillows, three bean bag chairs, and ten WOBBLE Chairs. These items will help my students have flexible seating in the classroom. On average students sit seven to nine hours a day. Research says that flexible seating helps students burn excess energy, increases motivation and engagement by creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and students improve their core strength and overall posture as well.
My Kindergarten students are full of energy and are not able to stay focused or on task for very long.
I want to provide them with flexible seating options to help them burn excess energy and increase their engagement. The floor pillows, stay-n-play balance balls, and wobble chairs will allow students options on what type of seating works best for them.
