I teach Science to 75 energetic and curious 5th graders each day. Most of the desks in my classroom are around 40 years old and definitely showing their age. I would like to replace them with a variety of flexible seating choices.
Flexible seating choices can help to alleviate restlessness and allow kids to get out their wiggles.
A standing desk can be used with or without the stool depending on the preference of the student.
Students can take turns at the standing desk or it can be used by someone with a particular need that day. I have two standing desks in my room already so I know how useful they can be. My students will definitely enjoy having another.
