My Project
As eleven and twelve-year-olds, it can be hard to remain in their desks throughout the day while learning. That is why I am requesting help to supply flexible seating options in my classroom. These twist wobble stools have been used throughout my building and students love them.
Studies show that flexible seating has many benefits, including but not limited to: sensory need fulfillment, student empowerment, collaboration, and increased focus.
When students can move their ability to focus increases. Movement boosts oxygen flow to the brain keeping students more alert. It will create more opportunities to get those wiggles out in an appropriate manner while increasing retention of information.
