Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me give my students flexible seating options to allow them to get their wiggles out while still having a seat to learn.
Flexible seating makes a classroom more appealing to our young learners than traditional tables and chairs.
The padded stools will be used as flexible seating during intervention groups for math, reading, and writing lessons. These color-coded stools match the write on colored whiteboard circles that are on our tables and will keep us focused and in our own space.
When students have a defined color-coded space where they can best be productive in the classroom, learning rates are higher.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
