This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I begin to brainstorm new ideas on how to encourage my new incoming students to always do their best, I reflect back on my past students. Within my classroom, I have a small couch large enough for 2 students and scoop chairs that my students would love to sit in during small group work, silent reading times or indoor recess. I also have stools around my reading table that the students loved sitting in. I would love to expand the flexible seating options for my students by including other soft seating options for them. Past students have loved to work in small groups while sitting in various places in the classroom - any excuse to not have to sit in their desks.
With your help, my students will have more opportunities to have a flexible seating arrangement within the classroom for small group work, silent reading times or indoor recess.
