This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine a classroom that feels more like a home—a space where students are excited to walk in each day, feel safe, comfortable, and ready to learn.

With your support, we can create that environment by adding flexible seating options such as cozy egg chairs, wobble stools, chair bands, and seat cushions.

These choices allow students to move, stretch, and settle in a way that helps them stay focused and engaged, rather than being confined to a traditional desk and chair. Flexible seating empowers students with the freedom to choose where and how they learn best, supporting their individual needs and learning styles.

One of the highlights of our day is our STEAM bags—hands-on, morning activities filled with creative building challenges, problem-solving tasks, and playful exploration. These moments set the tone for the rest of the day, helping students wake up their minds and get excited about learning. With flexible seating in place, students will be able to relax into these activities, collaborating, imagining, and bringing their ideas to life in a space that supports movement and comfort. By contributing to our project, you're helping us transform our classroom into a warm, welcoming space where students can feel at home, have fun while learning, and thrive both academically and creatively.
