My Students
A typical day within our classroom sees us moving around to different locations. Students utilize different areas within our room to collaborate, learn, and grow together. One of our challenges is providing them with flexible seating that is easy to rearrange.
We work to bring the curriculum to life in an engaging manner.
Students need more devices with which to learn and create and a space to do so. We are looking to help our students feel comfortable within their space to learn and to grow.
My Project
Students will be able to utilize these touchscreen Chromebooks in different ways. These devices will replace some that are non-touchscreen and that have reached their end of life. We will utilize the Google Apps for Education environment where students will work within Google Docs to write about the United States (region reports and biographies). They will connect to other classes utilizing Google Forms. We will also be able to create slide presentations for different content areas including Social Studies and Science.
Flexible seating options will allow for students to take the devices into different areas to be able to record pictures and videos that will enhance their projects.
This will lead to a product that can be shared with others and will give our students a more authentic audience.
