Help me give my students more options for our flexible seating. Wobble stools are a classroom favorite, but we currently only have three. My students also enjoy using exercise balls for an alternative seat!

My Students
Our class is made up of 22 hard-working and fun-loving kids.Many of my students are raised on farms and are active in sports, which can make sitting through the school day difficult!
We are working to break the mold of the traditional classroom and enjoy learning in collaborative groups to grow together as a community.
We are serious about learning and having fun. I know that my students learn in a different way than I did as a child, and I focus on teaching towards these 21st century needs
My Project
Last year my class was blessed beyond belief with our first donation of flexible seats. Flexible seating is a hot topic in the education world right now, and I immediately saw why. I can't tolerate sitting for a 45 minute meeting, why would I expect my students to? Being able to wiggle- just a little bit- makes all the difference. I continue to use what we call "Smart Spots" in our classroom and I'll never look back.
The implementation of our "Smart Spots" dramatically increased attention, which in turn increased student engagement and collaboration.
We only have 11 Smart Spots, so just half of my class is able to benefit from their use each day. I am working to slowly add more options so every student can learn their best each day. Your donation will help to add five additional Smart Spots to our classroom. That's 40 extra hours of focused learning a day!
