My Project
I am fortunate to be the first music teacher at a school in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and I have never met a group of students more excited about music learning! We have instruments that the kids love to play but we have only heavy chairs meant for adults to move and sit in and are not safe for kids to move themselves.
My enthusiastic and capable 3rd-5th grade students need flexible seating that they can safely arrange in our learning space.
Stackable and light stools will allow them to move quickly from a dance or listening activity right into a drum ensemble or small collaborative groups.
These stools will save space in our classroom for movement activities, give students more autonomy, and reduce transition time in our 45 minute classes so we can learn more and schlep less!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
