My Project
Our kindergarten classroom serves students who are deaf/hard of hearing in addition to other learning needs. We are seeking flexible seating options to support their diverse learning needs. Flexible seating fosters an inclusive environment by allowing students to choose seating arrangements that best meet their sensory, physical, and communication needs.
For our Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, flexible seating can improve access to clear sightlines for visual communication, such as signing, AAC devices, lipreading, etc.
It also allows for collaborative group setups that facilitate peer interaction, a crucial part of language and social development.
For students with sensory or attention challenges, options like the Bounce Cantilever Chair, the wobble chair, and the adjustable tables will help them regulate their energy and maintain focus during lessons as well as provide them with close proximity to the teacher.
