Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are amazing! They each have their own wonderful personalities. They are all very excited for the new school year. They support and encourage one another. They take interest in what is happening in each other's lives. With the variety of learning styles in our classroom, our students compliment one another well.
Each of our students enjoys coming to school and they feel excited to begin their journey in the first grade.
They love to learn and participate. Our students are creative, loving, and love to ask questions about the world around them.
My Project
We want to start the school year off strong by filling our ICT classroom with flexible seating. Wobble chairs, balance balls, and wobble cushions would help fit the different needs in our classroom. This will allow our students to have ample workspace. A flexible seating classroom will offer functional space for collaborative and individual learning. Many of our students require additional personal space when working. Having flexible seating would help our students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating will allow our students to choose where they work and with they work with.
