This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are amazing kids with a strong desire to learn everyday. We have learned over time how important flexible seating is to our student population. The use of the proper seating has reduced anxiety with students is the learning setting and classroom. This has created the best learning environment for our students throughout the school day. Our school has a high rate of trauma and students who are dealing with many issues at home. When we came out of the COVID-19 shutdown we found that the flexible seating helped students be more comfortable at school. We are requesting flexible seats and fidget toys. This is essential for our students to have a positive learning experience.
