Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Flexible seating allows for students to sit at their desks or in their designated area in a non traditional way. In a special education classroom, flexible seating is especially important because it helps meet diverse sensory, physical, and emotional needs. It allows students to choose environments where they feel most comfortable and focused, promotes independence, improves engagement, and supports individualized learning styles, all of which are crucial for their academic and social success. My students, especially my kiddos with ADHD, really struggle with sitting safely in their chairs and I would love for them to have more options than what I currently have in my classroom.
