This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This will be my second year teaching at a low income/high poverty school. I teach second grade. As heartbreaking as it is, most of my students are faced with many challenges in and out of the classroom.
All of my students deserve to be healthy and happy.
Though I cannot control what happens outside of the classroom, I can certainly control what happens inside. My students come to class feeling loved, supported, and engaged. I have a wide range of students in my classroom. Some students are highly intelligent and some have developmental delays. This does not stop me from providing them the education that they need.
I love all of my students, and they each bring joy to my life as a teacher.
I look forward to building a positive classroom during my second year of teaching.
My Project
I created this project to help out our Behavioral Support Advocate in our Student Center.
Mrs. Avitia does amazing work to help support our students who need it.
Most student who go to the student center need some kind of sensory support. Therefore, this project would give the student center stools and bean bag chairs to help calm students. This project would also give Mrs. Avitia a new computer chair with extra back support so that she doesn't have to suffer.
Please help me give our schools Student Center the tools needed to run successfully.
