Flexible Seating in my Computer Classroom

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with many challenges as middle school students, but they love to learn and they love computer science/hands on engaging activities.

My students are creative, thoughtful, full of questions, and continually think outside the box.

They love to be engaged, try new things and pour their hearts into projects that challenge them and allows them to find solutions. Our students love technology, and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically on a daily basis.

My Project

Flexible Seating! My students love the opportunity to be hands-on in the classroom! They have a love of coding, and problem solve like engineers. This will bring a new level of movement /engagement to my classroom and help expose students to new ways of learning. ARMS is a Title I urban school located in Charlotte, North Carolina. In my class, students work mainly at their desk, but they need to be able to move, or work on their chrome books sometimes in a Flex Space within my classroom.

A flexible seating space in my class would be a great addition.

I love to help my students evoke creativity and this flex space will have students excited to learn new things! Thank you for your consideration of this project!!
