This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The environment of a classroom is vital to student success: students learn best when they are comfortable and feel safe. These pieces of furniture are a small but critical way to give my students autonomy during their day. Students who feel in control of their bodies are better able to attend to their math learning.

Kids are all different, and they deserve to sit in whatever way is most comfortable for them and best suits their learning style.

With the flexible seating model afforded by this furniture, students will be able to select a learning spot that is best for them each day. With a classroom that caters to their needs, my students will be empowered to learn, grow, and contribute in meaningful ways.
