My kindergarteners come to school ready and eager to learn every day. They come from various cultural and socio-economical backgrounds in the San Francisco area. More than half of my student population come from low-income households and are second language learners.
All students are provided with free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch every day.
Our school serves students in grades PreK-5. Our teaching staff and community provide a safe learning environment for students to learn and thrive. We are a small school with a big heart. Everyone knows each other well. This really brings a nice culture within the school.
My Project
My students learn in various ways. They thrive in learning environments where they are able to make choices. Flexible seating allows students to be comfortable in a space that is inviting and diverse. By providing a classroom with various seating options, their learning becomes personalized and collaboration comes effortlessly. When they enjoy the classroom environment and feel comfortable, it opens them up to learn more.
With these various seating options, my students will be excited to come to school every day and learn.
They will be able to select where they sit throughout the day. Flexible seating will bring forth more teamwork between students and a positive learning environment.
