My Students
I work at an Elementary School in West Philadelphia. My students are exceptional because they are determined, resilient, and creative. My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, energetic, and ready to learn.
Despite the many challenges they face, they fight back against the odds.
They have amazing parents who support them in their learning and making decisions that influence a positive future for their lives.
I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that are centered around choice and promotes learning and development.
My Project
Think about a time when you've needed to complete some work. Where do you sit? Why do you choose to sit there? We usually gravitate towards the comfy seating choices because this is the place where you will be the most productive, and this choice of working comfortably helps our students as well.
In our flexible classroom, my students are able to learn at their best.
They are able to retain information and focusing much better in a comfortable working space. With this freedom, they will begin to learn how to make appropriate choices. These choices will lead to increased completion of classwork by focusing students and allowing them to learn in their own way. By donating, you will provide the students in my classroom with the power of choice to be able to sit in a learning space that is best for them. Your help with our flexible seating helps us adopt to their flexible learning needs to be successful!
