Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. The carpet that I selected will allow me to have carpet time for building relationships and connections with my students. Students will also have the opportunity to read at the carpet during independent reading time.
My students will be more engaged in their work and less disruptive with peers when they are given a choice of where they can work.
The carpet and easel will help me have a space for small group instruction which will help me provide opportunities for flexible and differentiated learning. This space can also be used for full group instruction when teaching a lesson. This will change the learning environment to the students. Instead of always staying in their seats they can also learn from the carpet!
