My Students

My students are awesome individuals who are filled with tons of energy and are eager to learn!

Each day my students enter the classroom, I leave at the end of the day having learned something new. I teach a self-contained cross-categorical class of twelve 2nd-3rd graders. They are all at different levels academically, but each student shines in their own little way.

Majority of our student population are below the poverty line and participate in the federal free or reduced-price lunch program. My students have experienced a variety of challenges, yet they never fail to walk into the classroom with huge grins on their faces ready to learn. As a whole, we are a fun-loving, happy class that embraces each and every one of our differences.

My Project

This school year I hope to bring more flexible seating options for students in my self-contained classroom. By providing students with wobble chairs and other flexible seating options, it will give me the opportunity to supply my students with the opportunity to figure out where they learn best. These flexible seating options will assist me in addressing their individual physical needs.

With your support these flexible seating options will increase their focus in the classroom and overall engagement in the lessons.

With your support my students will be able to a variety of flexible seating options to choose from when working as a whole group, with a partner, or independently.
