My Project
My 8th grade Social Studies students are energetic, creative, and full of potential—but they need a learning environment that matches their unique needs while allowing them to stay focused and engaged. By adding flexible seating like bean bag chairs, floor cushions, lap desks, and standing desks, I can create a classroom environment that supports movement, choice, and collaboration. Flexible seating will also help my students stay engaged, focused, and comfortable throughout the school day. By creating a more student-centered classroom, I can support different learning styles and help every student thrive. Whether we're analyzing primary sources, debating historical events, or working on group projects, flexible seating will help my students feel more comfortable and ready to learn.
