Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Middle schools are very antsy and need to move around a lot, especially when sitting in classrooms for long periods of time. My classroom is a flexible seating classroom that is filled with floor seats, counter stools, wobble chairs and cushions, fidget bands, and rolling chairs.
Allowing students to move around in class helps to keep them focused and on task.
I want to continue to encourage students to move around in class because I have seem them be more successful when they are able to. I know that students feel safe and comfortable in my classroom and a huge reason for that is the access to flexible seating. I hope to ensure that students continue to have safe, comfortable, and useful seating options in our space so that are able to focus and be successful in class.
