Help Us Build a Safe, Engaging Space for Students Who Learn Differently

In the age of phone addiction and constant digital distractions, creating a fun, welcoming, and engaging learning environment is more important than ever—especially for our students with special needs.

Our classroom serves students from low-income backgrounds, many of whom are recent immigrants and English language learners. These incredible kids face challenges both in and out of the classroom, and they deserve a space that feels safe, calming, and built with their unique needs in mind.

Traditional desks and chairs don’t always support the way our students learn best. Some need to move, rock, or curl up in a cozy space to stay focused and feel regulated. That’s why we’re hoping to add flexible seating options like a comfy couch, office chair, floor cushions, stools, and a rocking chair to our Special Education Learning Center. These items will not only increase focus and comfort, but also help create a sense of belonging—a classroom that feels less like a sterile space and more like a home for learning.
