it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All of my students are full of energy and have excitement for learning. They appreciate the little things, which makes teaching so amazing. I can show my class a picture of something to simple, and they come up with tons of questions and observations.
My 25 students are amazing kids and aim to always have a growth mindset.
My school is a Title I school and works as a team. We strive to see growth in each and every one of our students and, in order for that, they need to receive the best education and differentiated instruction. I believe I could make that difference in each of my first graders, and I am excited to see what the growth and hard work my class accomplishes this year and future years.
My Project
As a second-year teacher, I do not have much choice of seating in the classroom in which the kids can read comfortably. I have been working extra hard this year to get my students to become readers and enjoy reading! Sitting around the classroom on the floor has not been the most engaging and cozy way for my kids. My kids get to pick any spot to read in the classroom, and with these flexible seating options, it does not have to be on the floor. I strongly believe that my kids will build their reading stamina with flexible seating because they will comfortable while reading. My classroom has very limited seating, so new comfortable seating would excite the kids to read even more!
