Flexible Seating for Positive Productivity

Help me give my students some bean bag chairs and a variety of comfortable seating.

My Students

My students are an energetic group of sweet kids. Many of my students really want to learn, however, their home support is less than ideal. They are continuously telling me that their parents do not have time to read with them or help/supervise them with their homework.

It makes me sad that these young children are eager to learn but are only getting support at school.

I believe that my students can be very successful as long as they are receiving the proper support during the day when they are at school.

My Project

I will use these seats to allow the students to make their own seating choices. I have found that children enjoy sitting in comfortable seats scattered around the room, rather than in traditional desks lined up in rows. Although some students may prefer to sit at a table, or desk, the majority of the students like to have options.

I also feel that the students will take ownership of their classroom, their work, and their behavior, when given the opportunity to make their own choices.

In turn, the students will be positively productive!
