This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Being employed at a Title I school with students with diverse learning needs is rewarding! Joy is expressed in different ways due to varied abilities, but it is seen daily. My students are seeing themselves achieve goals which builds confidence.
Providing a flex-space with a carpet and beanbags would give my students choices regarding seating and would help accommodate sensory needs.
A flex-space would increase attention and engagement during instruction. It would also provide a calming area which would help meet emotional needs.
