This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is part 2 of our project. My amazing K-2 students on the Autism spectrum are in a self-contained class that exists to meet their individual needs and help them succeed. They love to come to school every day, but they struggle to sit still for any length of time.
An outdoor classroom is an ideal place for my students to learn, however, we need flexible seating and a way to transport the seating back and forth.
We are in the process of creating a school garden, and we would love to have a safe place for them to work outside. We are requesting portable lap desks and a cart to transport them back and forth from the garden. These items will be available to all classrooms.
