My Students
My second grade students need wobble stools to help keep their bodies active and their minds engaged.
My students come from a wide variety of ethnic and economic backgrounds, but they all have they same desire to learn.
They are an inclusive group of both general education students and special education students who have a range of needs and learning styles. Many of my second grade students are active learners and have a difficult time remaining in their seats, especially during important learning periods, like reading, writing and math. Their constant movement has shown me that they need an alternative seating solution to help expel that excess energy. Having wobble stools in my classroom would meet this need immensely.
My Project
With these wobble stools, my students will be able to keep their bodies active, and their minds engaged - all while being seated! These stools allow for a positive outlet for excess energy, by allowing students to move, rock, and wiggle during seat work. They are lightweight and can be used during independent work, group work and even whole class meetings.
This is an incredible tool for students with attention problems and focusing issues as it will help them be more productive in the classroom.
