it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of my students love coming to the small group table. It's where we dig deeper into reading, math, and writing in a more personal way. But many of them struggle to sit still in regular chairs, which can make it hard to stay focused. Flexible seating in the form of balance ball chairs will give them the chance to move and learn at the same time. These seats support focus, posture, and core strength, all while helping students feel more comfortable and confident. With these chairs, students will be able to gently bounce or shift their weight while we work in small groups, which helps reduce restlessness and increase engagement. This is especially helpful for students with sensory needs or attention challenges. The chairs will also encourage independence, as students will be able to choose how they sit and move in a way that works best for their learning. By creating a more inclusive and supportive small group space, these flexible seats will help my students thrive, both academically and socially, every single day.
