My Project
I would like to add some flexible seating in my classroom for my students who have trouble focusing because they can't sit still. I allow my students to stand up when they are working at their tables but when they are on the carpet that's hard to do.
Curriculum has and will continue to change from year to year, but a child's needs, differences, and potential don't.
Each of my 20 years of teaching has been different, yet very similar is some ways when it comes to the individual students. Every year I have several students who have trouble sitting still while sitting on the rug during learning time. I understand that in order for some children to do their best learning they may have to wiggle a little bit. I am hoping that the wiggle seats will help my students achieve this. Whether it's on the carpet, at the reading table, or at their seats I feel this will be a great asset to my classroom and my students learning experience.
My students are truly amazing because they help me learn new things every day. They help me grow professionally and personally and lead me to learn how to evolve as a teacher so that I can meet all of my students needs. They make me laugh and we have a lot of fun learning and growing together.
