My Project
These flexible seating options will supply the students in the special education classroom with various ways to maintain personal space and learn. Some students require specialized seating in order to accommodate physical and emotional needs within the classroom. Students often need ways to move in addition to ways to adjust while working at their desks. These flexible seating options will provide therapeutic solutions to students to aid in their ability to maintain focus and stay on task throughout the completion of assignments.
Students in today's classroom have various specialized needs.
Some students work better while standing while others, with orthopedic differences, need softer or directional options while sitting. With some students, it is as simple as providing a way for them to move while remaining at their desks. The seating I selected is tailored to the students I will have in my classroom next year. They will be used to provide students with what they need in order to help maintain their focus throughout task expectations. Students utilizing these desks and seats have extended duration of more than double for focus and completion percentages.
