My Students

I have a wonderful group of students this year, who despite the curve balls thrown their way during this pandemic, have been striving to achieve academic mastery in everything they do.

My students are an incredibly warm and welcoming bunch who have made it so much easier for me to adapt as a teacher despite the distancing, missed days of school, and less opportunities for shared hands-on learning.

My Project

Flexible seating gives students the option of customizing their workspace to increase focus and engagement during independent and whole group learning. Not all students are meant to learn in one set format. Some kids process through movement or fidgeting, and these flexible seating options give them that opportunity.

The balance balls, wobble chairs, bouncy bands, and soft pillows will provide an outlet for excess energy or stress by allowing my kiddos to complete their work while moving without requiring them to leave their desk and work behind.

I have seen great success with flexible seating in other classrooms, and I would love to give my students the opportunity to see the change in their own class.
