This will be my first year teaching at this school so I can't really describe my students yet. I am very eager to start working at this school and to learn more about my students. I have family members that attended the schools in this district and have graduated from there and they have nothing but the best things to say about the school district. I have also spoken to other people that have either taught there or have had students that have attended the schools and they have been very pleased with the students, staff, and administration in this district.
My Project
I am requesting these materials in order to offer flexible seating to the students in my classroom. I believe students learn best when they are comfortable and enjoy being in class. What better way to get them comfortable than to allow the students to sit in a variety of different chairs/beanbags/ stools etc...while learning.
I have seen many classrooms that have done away with traditional desks and have moved toward the flexible seating set up and the students absolutely love it.
I am hoping that by adding flexible seating to the classroom the students will be more engaged and will love to come to school everyday.
