This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Why flexible seating? Sometimes traditional chairs and desks hinder students learning. Currently my students are choosing to work using some flexible seating options in my class: high chairs, stools, our class rug, and crate seats. I have already seen a difference in their learning when they get to choose their seating. They are more engaged and feel free to move compared to feeling confined when sitting in a chair at the table.
Flexible seating allows my students to take charge of their learning and make choices about what works best for them.
We are in need of one more table to complete our flexible seating classroom. This table will allow students to use the crate/ chair seats when in small groups.
