Flexible Seating for Learning

My students need comfortable alternative seating to help them succeed in the classroom. By providing my students comfy floor chairs, wobble cushions, and bean bag, we are giving them flexible space and choice for learning.

My Students

All kindergarten students are unique, yet they share similar patterns of development. I believe that it is essential to provide an environment and experiences that best meet all of their needs. When you walk into my classroom, you will see energetic children full of enthusiasm to learn. We love exploring numbers and letters using different sensory tools and centers!

My students are active learners who learn best through active play and hands-on activities.

We have a strong classroom community.

Our school is culturally and linguistically diverse. It is a Title I low-income school, where 71% of the population receives free and reduced-priced meals.

My goal is to provide them a supportive learning environment and an equitable classroom by making sure they have what they need to be successful in kindergarten.

My Project

My goal is to establish a supportive classroom environment where students can make choices and be in-charge of their own learning.

The flexible seats will be an accessible tool for everyone who needs extra support to be engaged in learning. I have seen my students feel motivated and supported when are given choices.

The products I have chosen will be utilized in various areas in my room. The flex floor chairs and bean bags will be used at our library where students can be comfortable while reading. The wobbly cushion will serve as a tool for some students who may need extra support to stay focused during circle times. All of the materials are lightweight and can be easily moved around the room where they are needed!
