My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them! My classroom is an environment where my students feel safe and welcomed each day. I provide my students with hands-on materials in which every student can be encouraged to learn at their own pace and engaged in meaningful learning.

I want my students to love school and look forward to coming to school each day!

We begin as strangers and leave as friends.

Our Charter school family has a high percentage of free and reduced-price lunch students. Being a smaller school, we do not have lots of funding coming in; in fact, we receive no local funding and only state and federal money.

My Project

Everyone works best when they are comfortable. This project will allow my kindergarten friends to explore different seating options and find the perfect fit for the way they learn best.

Five year olds are not made to sit still!

The wobble chairs will allow students to stay supported and comfortable while they wiggle, which will allow them to stay focused. The wiggle cushions will be used while students sit on the floor during whole or small group learning. The stools will provide another type of seating choice at my teacher table for small group work and during technology time in our classroom.
