My Students

I have 16 wonderful students in my classroom. They come from families who do not have a lot of money, so they need all the support they can get in terms of obtaining resources that they have access to, in order to support their learning. These students deserve to have access to materials students with more financial resources have access to.

They all love to learn.

They are very excited to be in kindergarten, and for many, they are starting school for the first time. They often leave at the end of the day saying they do not want to leave because they enjoy school so much. They are very engaged throughout the day in all subject areas. They are thrilled to learn new concepts and skills, and love to show off their learning or observe concepts they have learned in other settings.

My Project

My students learn in a variety of ways. That includes how they sit or not sit to complete their work. The materials in this project will give my students a variety of seating options for them to try out and find the perfect match that will help them stay better focused and complete their work. By increasing their focus level, they will be able to increase their time on task, and as a result increase their learning in letter id, letter sounds, sight words, counting, and writing and much more.

The Stability Ball Chairs and Wobble Chairs will allow students to sit at tables and allow some movement.

These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out.
