Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Bouncy chairs, wobble seats, and therapy ball chairs will offer students the ability to engage in movement while staying seated, which is crucial for young children with endless energy who also have important work to do. These seating options allow for subtle movement, helping to release excess energy and improve focus, enabling students to remain calm and attentive during lessons. The sensory input from these seats can enhance concentration, making it easier for students to engage with their learning materials.

Students who have a choice of seating options, that cater to their strengths and learning styles, are able to thrive with active engagement, heightened focus, and unlimited potential.

Headphones will provide a quiet, distraction-free environment for students, allowing them to focus on tasks without being interrupted by external noises. This is particularly helpful for students with sensory sensitivities or those who are easily distracted. By blocking out background noise, students can fully immerse themselves in their work and maximize their learning potential.

Desk dividers will create a personal space for each student, reducing distractions and providing them with a sense of ownership and privacy in their work area. This helps to foster independence, confidence, and self-regulation.

Finally, office supplies like folders, laminating sheets, plastic sheet protectors and binder rings will support these students' creativity and organizational skills, empowering them to explore, organize and express their ideas.
