Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my classroom I have 14 smart, bubbly, diverse 2nd grade students! My students are focused and curious 7-8 year olds who have a love for learning and school. Their favorite thing to learn about right now is science. They have a love for reading, and a passion for asking questions.
My Project
Flexible seating has been shown to offer ample benefits to student learning. Offering flexible seating makes learning inclusive and engaging for ALL students. Students who are offered flexible seating are more engaged and responsive in their learning. Flexible seating also allows students the opportunity to collaborate with their peers which helps build a positive sense of community. These two very important skills will benefit them into adulthood. Flexible seating offers students the stimulating learning experience that they deserve. These sensory experiences are especially helpful for students with special learning needs. With this flexible seating furniture, I will be able to create a learning environment that is engaging and conducive to learning.
