Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sitting in traditional desks and chairs for long stretches can be uncomfortable and limit students’ ability to stay focused. To better meet their needs, I am seeking flexible seating options like soft seating areas that will give them choice and comfort as they learn.
Flexible seating creates a more dynamic and student-centered learning environment.
Some students focus better when they can gently move or change positions, and others benefit from having a cozy, less structured spot to read or write.
These seating options, the Beanbag Chair and the Floor Pillows Cushions, will support diverse learning styles and help students feel empowered and respected in their space. When students are physically comfortable, their attention improves, their participation increases, and they’re more motivated to engage with the lesson.
