My Project
These flexible seating cushions and privacy shields will help foster a positive classroom environment. Research shows flexible seating has a strong positive impact on the classroom environment and student learning. Flexible seating allows for student choice and helps the student to feel empowered as they have choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating promotes comfort, focus, and movement, all of which are critical to success. When students have the flexibility to move around the room it breaks down boundaries that traditional desks can create and encourages students to work together. Other times, students need a quiet workspace with minimized distractions to promote focus and boost stamina for challenging tasks. I am most excited for the boost in community, collaboration, and focus these items will help our classroom foster.
