Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a Kindergarten teacher in a urban area. I have a classroom of 25 students! I have students of all different needs and abilities which makes each one unique.
My classroom provides a strong sense of community where I form close relationships with my students.
I challenge my students daily to do better and think out of the box while building skills such as reading, writing, science, social studies and math. My students are grateful everyday to come to school to learn which makes everything worthwhile.
My Project
My students love to move around and work together. Being in an inclusion classroom my students would really benefit these materials. My students would be able to move around and wiggle while also learning daily in the classroom.
The furniture will help improve my classroom by making it more welcoming for the students.
The wobble chairs, stools, clipboards, and fidget bands will help some of my students who may have a harder time sitting down and focusing for the long school day. Having these tools in the room allow for differentiation and movement in the classroom with minimal distractions!
