This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is filled with 19 students who love to learn every day! Each student is different and unique. In my classroom, the students are always moving. My students are constantly working in cooperative learning groups and differentiated instructional lessons. While working in the classroom my students love having the option to work anywhere. I feel it's important for children to continue to move.
My students put a smile on my face every day.
My goal as their teacher is to create a positive-learning classroom environment and give them the most opportunities to learn, excel and to take what they learn and continue to use it everyday.
My Project
My goal for this school year is to create a flexible seating environment for my students. With the wobble chairs and balance balls included as an option for flexible seating, my students will be engaged, motivated, focused and ready to learn through out the whole school day. In my classroom, my students are working on the floor with clipboards, using stools, and using lap desks.
With more flexible seating options in the classroom, my students will be able to make their own choices for work space and make more effective learning choices.
Many students have different needs. I feel with different options for flexible seating, the students will find the best fit for them to be successful in a our positive learning classroom environment.
