The students in my class are excited and eager to learn. My students are joyful, energetic, creative and always so much fun to be around! They come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wide range of educational experiences. Most of my students come from low-income homes where they have had limited exposure to reading. Some students have experienced some form of previous education while others do not know how to hold a book.
All of my students are capable of growing and learning inside the classroom.
My students have so much to learn whether they need to learn how to tie their shoes, letter sounds, adding or writing. My students have the potential to do amazing things and I loving being able to help them grow.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because it will give them the comfort and choice that they need. With my students being so young, the need the opportunity to choose a place that allows them to move while they are learning at the same time.
By giving my students flexible seating options, it gives the choice to pick where they think they can learn best.
These flexible seating options give my students the choice to pick where they would like to complete their work based on their personal interest and needs. For example, the balance balls are perfect for students who need to be moving while they work. These students will be provided with the movement they need to actually increase their productivity. Other students may view comfort as a necessity while reading a book or drawing a picture and the bean bag chairs will provide this for them. The comfy floor seats are good for students who want to be comfortable but the other options may become too much of a distraction for them. These resources will provide so many options for my students to feel confident and comfortable in where they sit while they are learning!
