Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The super 2nd graders are a group of 24 students in the upper west side of Manhattan. It is an ICT classroom comprised of general education and special education students.
The super 2nd graders are an eager group of students with a love of learning.
They enjoy reading and writing about new topics and utilizing technology to research these new and exciting areas of study. The super 2nd graders are a group of wonderful students eager to try new things and learn new information every day!
My Project
The flexible seating options will offer the students a choice of how they will use the space of the classroom to learn best. Students will learn independence by being able to choose the space in the room that will best fit his or her learning style. Students will have the choice to learn on a wobble chair, comfy carpet, floor seat, or soft seat cushion.
By having the choice of different seating options, students will be able to choose a space that will best fit his or her individual need.
The classroom environment will be comfortable and welcoming, which will encourage students to learn in a safe and inviting environment.
