This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The flexible seating options that I am requesting in this project are to support the unique and diverse sensory needs of my exceptional students. My students have a variety of unique needs that have to be met on a daily basis, and many of them struggle to find ways to output or input their sensory needs in traditional classroom seating. With the support of flexible seating options, my students will better be able to engage their bodies and minds in class!
As a result of mobility, while sitting, flexible seating options also increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength.
Floor seating can also promote healthy posture and better student engagement.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their overall academic achievement as well.
