This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a wonderful school with excited, motivated students. They always inspire me with their love of learning. Our school has a majority of high socioeconomically disadvantaged children. We are a Title I school with many cultures represented (mostly Latino and Vietnamese). Many of these students live in neighborhoods that tend to be unsafe and underprivileged which causes a lack of opportunities.
I truly believe in our motto of "preparing all children as global learners." I hope to give these students as many resources as they may need in order to become successful both in and outside of the classroom.
Your donations would truly be appreciated!
My Project
Right now students are either sitting in their chairs or on the cold, hard floor. This flexible seating will allow the students to feel more comfortable and excited about learning in the classroom. The students often get tired of sitting in their chairs, but the only other option is sitting on the floor. To have a variety of seating options would be more exciting for everyone.
These floor chairs will allow the students to get comfortable while building a love of learning.
If they have these chairs and wobble stools to sit on, they will be able to have a variety of options to get comfortable while learning. It will help them to stay focused and engaged on the task.
