This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
By having bean bag chairs in the library classroom will encourage students to read more to increase reading fluency and comprehension as well as appreciate reading various genres of books. This will encourage students to read independently on their grade level, as well as improve academic achievement in reading comprehension. My goal for my students is for them to appreciate reading and apply their reading strategies and be creative in their thinking as they sit on a bean bag chair.
Every one of my students is unique in their own way and come from different cultures.
I would like for students to read in a comfortable manner so that they will enjoy their interest of reading. By funding our classroom to have bean bag chairs assists students to enrich reading and learn more.
